WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO?
With the rioting that occurred in Albany after the first BLM rally on June 1st, many businesses in the South End area and on Central Avenue were damaged and negatively effected. The impacts from COVID-19 have not helped those same businesses either. We have grouped together to gather donations to help these black owned businesses recover from the devastating events that have recently occurred.
HOW ARE YOU SUPPORTING THE BLM MOVEMENT?
We have spoke to many businesses in the South End area who have been impacted and are raising $3,000 for every business that was effected by the events that have recently occurred. With this money raised, these businesses have an option to donate between 1%-10% of this money to The Center of Law and Justice.
DO YOU HAVE LIST OF BUSINESSES BEING HELPED?
Yes! We have a clerical team set up keeping track of how much money is being donated, from who, as well as to who. This will also help recognize some of the smaller businesses who don't have the marketing capabilities to spread their name like the larger ones, which will hopefully get them more business.
CAN I JOIN?
Yes! We are always looking for more helping hands to help us rebuild our community! Just send us a message on the Contact Us page with your contact information and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
WILL 100% OF THE DONATIONS GO TO ALBANY BUSINESSES AND CENTER OF LAW AND JUSTICE?
Yes, the businesses are choosing to give a percentage of their money towards the Center of Law and Justice, and whatever they have left over is for their use. We are 100% non-profit and are not getting paid from this. We want to make sure we rebuild the community.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU STILL HAVE EXTRA MONEY LEFT OVER?
If that does happen, we still have many more businesses to go to. There are many smaller businesses in Albany that have been severely impacted, and we want to make sure we get to as many, if not all the businesses to help them out.
